The “T Knoxville” is a student purposed housing project located on the edge of university of Tennessee’s main campus.
The site is oriented east west facing Long Tennessee River edge without standing southern exposure. It is comprised of approximately 3/4 of one city block, with commanding panoramic views of the campus, river and local mountains. The 14 story tower is comprised of 150 units of varying size from 2 to 4 bedrooms with a total of 529 beds. Amenities include a pool, fitness facility, a club room, outdoor social spaces, numerous study areas, on-site leasing offices, as well as 9000 ft.² of retail facing front and W. Hill
Streets. An adjacent parking deck accommodates 300 cars, including electric vehicles, and also has ample bicycle storage. There are a number of significant public space and right-of-way enhancements including perimeter landscaping, lamp posts, benches, bicycle racks, street trees, enhanced crosswalks, and new sidewalks. The Henley Street bridge, circa 1935 WPA Project, anchors the western edge of the development, and adds additional drama to the site, views, and surrounds.
The University of Tennessee shuttle has departure points very near the site. The T Knoxville is within walking distance of three of Knoxville’s entertainment areas, market Square, Cumberland Avenue, and the Gay St., Corridor as well as the 100,000 seat Neyland Stadium, home to University of Tennessee football team.
